Warsaw's historic core on the Vistula escarpment: the walled Old Town and Castle Square, Krasiński Square, and the New Town that grew up north of the Barbican. The inset shows where the area sits in Warsaw; the numbers follow the key.
The solid purple line marks the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Historic Centre of Warsaw. The dashed lines are the official Stare Miasto and Nowe Miasto boundaries, which run out to the middle of the Vistula. The brick-red strips are the surviving city walls.
There is no metro station on the map. Ratusz Arsenał (M1) is just south-west of Krasiński Garden, and Plac Zamkowy is a short walk from Krakowskie Przedmieście.
